Billions of cups of coffee are sold around the world each year and many customers are scalded while taking the first sip.

To help people who drink “coffee to-go” know what the temperature of their beverage is, we propose to apply color-changing temperature indicators on coffee cups.

Our goal is to develop a cheap way to produce disposable coffee cups with the temperature indicators which change color from red for hot to blue for cold.

We hope that this product will help consumers avoid unpleasant incidents and retailers (such as McDonald's) avoid lawsuits.
