The complete medical database

The biggest concern in the medical world today is in determining the credibility of a doctor who might be performing a life-saving surgical procedure. Although there are different sources out there that verify a doctor’s credentials, none of them tell us how he has really performed, whether he is approachable, the number of surgeries he has performed over the last 6 months. The complete medical database will serve as a website where patients can give feedback about their surgical experience. I wish to start with compiling data for hospitals in St. Louis and include more hospitals as we grow.
The biggest concern in the medical world today is in determining the credibility of a doctor/surgeon who might be performing a life-saving surgical procedure. Although there are different sources out there that verify a doctor’s credentials – telling us his training and experience, official certification etc., none of them tell us how he has really performed, whether he is approachable, the number of surgeries he has performed over the last 6 months, how patients have recovered post-surgery etc.
The complete medical database will serve as a website where patients can give feedback about their surgical experience. This will integrate patient feedback about doctors and hospitals as well as fact-based information about doctors. I wish to start with hospitals in St. Louis and include more hospitals as we grow.
End goal: 10 years from now, the site must serve as a Google for patients to find out everything they need to know about a doctor, hospital and a specific surgical procedure.
